2022 Remind CodesPTA Resources

  • PTSA: You can follow the BTWHSPVA PTSA on Facebook and Instagram. The Remind mobile messaging app helps connect teachers, parents and students. Each class has a Remind code. You can also follow the school, teachers, guilds and PTSA. It is one of the most convenient ways to stay in touch. Check the graphic for the Remind codes for the 2024-25 school year.

  • Membership Toolkit: Manage your PTSA account at your fingertips! Download the Membership Toolkit app on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

  • Texas PTA Member Perks: Texas PTA members are eligible for a variety of perks, including discounts, special offers, and access to preferred seating and tickets to top attractions, theme parks, shows, sporting events, movie tickets, and hotels. 

  • Texas PTA: The Texas PTA has been working to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children for the last 113 years. The BTWHSPVA PTSA aligns with the Texas PTA mission to "make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children."

  • National PTA: National PTA® is the oldest and largest child advocacy association in America. For 125 years, PTA has worked with school communities and decision makers to solve the toughest problems in our nation’s history. 

Dallas ISD Resources

  • Bell Schedule: Visit the school website for an updated version of the Bell Schedule.
  • Dallas ISD Mental Health Services Resource Guide: This extensive guide from DISD provides resources for many services from food pantries and shelters to financial assistance, grief services, eating disorders, ABA and play therapy, counseling and legal services, and emergency hotlines. You can visit the district's Mental Health Services page for more resources and information.

  • Volunteer: The Dallas Independent School District uses VOLY to register its volunteers. To volunteer at BTWHSPVA or any DISD school, you must register with VOLY annually. If you are new to VOLY you will need to complete an application, background check and orientation. You will be notified when your application has been cleared. Please be sure to register before signing up to volunteer or volunteering. The background check can take up to three days. 

  • RevTrack: This is the DISD system to pay for parking and lockers.

  • Student Dress Code: All clothing must adhere to the district and campus dress code policy. Including: 

    • Clear/Mesh backpacks are required by D.I.S.D.
    • Political T-shirts or attire will not be permitted on campus. 
    • Visit the school website for more information regarding the Student Dress Code
  • Student ID Badge - All students must wear their ID badge to enter the school. Students who did not receive one at Pegasus Pick-Up must report to the Gallery located in the historic building to complete registration. Click here to view the Identification Procedure.
  • Transportation Routes - Review the transportation routes for drop off, pick up and buses below.

School Contacts

  • Dance GuildThe Dance Guild provides the Dance Conservatory with volunteer support, as well as funding for teaching supplies/equipment, master teachers, grants/scholarships for student enrichment, meals for dancers and hospitality for college reps during showcase week.   

  • Music GuildThe Music Guild is a non-profit organization of parents, family and friends of current and former Booker T. music students whose mission is to provide operational and financial support for the entire Music Conservatory, including the music faculty, students, performing ensembles and classes.

  • Theatre GuildThe Theatre Guild supports the students and faculty of the Theatre Conservatory in their various activities and help provide the best possible academic and artistic experience as our children strive to fulfill their goals and aspirations. 

  • Visual Arts Guild: When you join the Visual Arts Guild every dollar donated goes directly to help support the Visual Arts Conservatory faculty and students. As a member you'll get to know other parents and students, be the first to know the latest news, and your student will be eligible for guild-sponsored scholarships.

  • Academic Conservatory: A formal Academic Conservatory was established to underscore the importance of our academic departments in the development of our scholar artists. It represents the unique interests of our academic departments and helps find common ground in the pursuit of providing intensive, integrated training for all of our students.

  • School Counselors: The Counseling Department at BTWHSPVA promotes the academic, social, emotional, and personal development of each student and provides individual, small group, and classroom services  to assist our students in setting and meeting appropriate career goals and realizing their full potential as 21st century scholar artists.  

  • BTW Alumni Association: The BTWHSAA seeks to renew friendships, develop a strong and enduring club structure, keep alive the memory of the first high school for Black students, and give back to the community. 

  • Arts Magnet Alumni Association: Follow the Alumni Association on Facebook.

Arts Partners 

  • Advisory Board: The BTWHSPVA Advisory Board provides grants to help students with resources like technology, art or school supplies, instruments, and dancewear.
