PTSA Programs
The funds raised by the PTSA provide school resources and programs, help fund senior year celebrations and Baccalaureate, fund Summer Scholarships, and produce the school's signature event - the All-School Musical.
Advocacy
The BTWHSPVA PTSA offers a variety of programs for parents, students and educators to empower them with knowledge and new skills, all while building a sense of community within the school. Students are welcome to volunteer to build leadership skills and resume experience. Volunteer hours will be credited.
- Parent Education - Parent University and Coffee Talk with the Principal are just two of our Parent Education programs.
- Faculty Advocacy – The PTSA supports our faculty by faciliating grant application, and recognizing our faculty throughout the year with teacher appreciation events.
- Student Advocacy – Advocating for all students is crucial to our mission. Pegasus Pantry and Booker T Angels are two of our programs. We also utlize class representatives to ensure we support each class and conservatory, and are able to recognize and celebrate those students as seniors.

Arts in Education
Arts in Education is a long-standing priority for PTSA. Working to incorporate the arts into daily learning contributes to growth and education of the whole child. Reflections is a National PTA program that enables students to find a creative outlet in dance choreography, film production, Literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. The program began in 1969, and more than 200,000 students participate annually. The 2024-25 program theme is "Accepting Imperfection."

Communications
The Communications committee tells the BTWHSPVA PTSA story, promotes events and meetings, and ensures the community knows about our advocacy work. All facets of mass media and creative services, including PTSA newsletters, website, email, social media, Remind, public relations, video/photography, and graphic design, are used to keep the community informed. Students are welcome to volunteer to build leadership skills and resume experience. Volunteer hours will be credited.

Fundraising
Every movement needs momentum or fuel, and the successful fulfillment of the PTSA mission is fueled by the creative and committed parents and students that raise funds each year to support the schoolwide programs and productions. Healthy Lifestyles
Establishing and supporting a healthy lifestyles signals your commitment to building healthy schools, healthy families, and healthy communities. This is a new committee to BTWHSPVA PTSA. We’re looking for interested volunteers to build up this program. Students are welcome volunteer to build leadership skills and resume experience. Volunteer hours will be credited.

Membership
BTWHSPVA is the largest PTSA in the state of Texas. Recruiting members plays an important role in the success of the PTSA because a growing and engaged membership is the lifeblood of any PTA, and the foundation of achieving our mission to make every child's potential a reality. We ask all members to take the Pegasus Promise to volunteer a minimum of four hours a school year to back the future! The membership committee supports school wide volunteer needs and hosts orientation programs such as I Am Booker T Day and Pegasus Pick Up. The membership committee also supports every grade level through Class Committees that actively fundraise to prepare for their senior year.

Summer Scholarships
The PTSA funds a Summer Scholarship program to assist students who plan to attend an art or academic enrichment program during the summer. Students are awarded scholarships of up to $500 to supplement tuition fees, excluding travel and supply fees. Students are welcome to volunteer to build leadership skills, gain resume experience, and receive volunteer hours.
