African American Heritage Production

D.I.S.D. proudly celebrates National Black History Month every February. As part of this celebration, Booker T.'s annual all-school, student-led African American Heritage Show takes place at the Montgomery Arts Theatre. The PTSA covers the production expenses and hospitality as the Executive Producer of the show. This annual production powerfully emphasizes the cultural significance of African American heritage while showcasing the talents of students in grades 9-12. The show captivates audiences with collaborative presentations from students across all conservatories, highlighting their exceptional skills in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts.
