| Settled in and Soaring Students have eased into the rhythm of a new school year. Schedules are set, phone procedures are becoming routine, and classes are filled with new material to learn. Remember to keep an eye on upcoming events as activities begin to ramp up. The Guys & Dolls musical production is coming up soon September 10-14. You will not want to miss this charming musical, and tickets will go on sale this week. Help spread the word and invite everyone you know to join us in the MAT for this fantastic show. Friendly reminder to please mark your calendars for the first PTSA meeting of the year scheduled for Tuesday, September 2nd at 6pm in the Commons. Special guest School Psychologist, Ms. Jennifer Toombs, SSP, LSSP, will be providing helpful information for parents and sharing an overview of the mental health resources available at BTWHSPVA. Meet the Teacher is Tuesday, August 26th 5:00-6:30pm. This event allows parents and faculty an opportunity to meet and discuss pertinent information for a successful school year. All parents are encouraged to join their student's conservatory guild to receive the latest news and information from the conservatory. Select your guild below for more information: Each guild conducts a specialized meeting every month immediately following the PTSA General Meetings located in various locations throughout the school. Check your student's Guild website for specific information and make plans to attend - this is important to stay informed of all productions and special events throughout the school year! Start dreaming up the 2027-28 Reflections Theme! Each year, National PTA hosts an annual Reflections Theme Search Contest to select one student theme to inspire student artists in Reflections. A team of National PTA volunteers selects one winning student's theme based on originality and creativity. The winning student is awarded $100 and national recognition. Reflections Theme Search Entry Form – Deadline to submit themes is November 5, 2025! When suggesting a theme, judges take into consideration: - Theme is unique, inspiring and unlike past program themes.
- Theme is focused without being too narrow or too broad.
- Theme is clear, concise and appropriate for all grade levels.
- Theme is applicable to all arts categories.
- Theme promotes PTSA values.
- Theme is relevant in 2 years.
- Past themes and duplicate entries are not considered.
