MESSAGE FROM 2026-27 PTSA PRESIDENT JENNIFER WHEELER HALL
Back to School Buzz & Upcoming Excitement!

The first week of school is officially wrapped, and the building was absolutely buzzing with laughter, music, excited energy, and friends reuniting everywhere you turned. Our seniors were celebrated in true Booker T fashion, welcomed back each day with fun, thoughtful treats that made the whole week feel special. A huge thank you to Senior Class Chair Maggie Lopez and the incredible Senior Committee for launching this milestone year with such joy and intention. What a kick-off!

Shrek the Musical rehearsals are already charging ahead, and the production team, cast, band, and crew are pouring their hearts into creating an unforgettable production for September 16 - 20. The energy in the rehearsal rooms is electric, and this show is going to be something you do not want to miss. Tickets will be available soon, so help us spread the word far and wide. Invite your family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and anyone who loves great theatre. Let’s pack the MAT and cheer on our scholar artists as they bring this fantastic musical to life! And don't forget that ASM Playbill Ads must be purchased by August 23 and completed ads/assets must be received by August 24.

And get ready, because our first PTSA meeting of the year is coming up on Tuesday, September 1st at 6 PM in the Commons (and we are offering a virtual attendance option this year - see below for details). We are kicking off the year with purpose and excitement, and we are thrilled to welcome School Psychologist Ms Jennifer Toombs, SSP, LSSP as our special guest. She will share valuable insight for families and provide an overview of the mental health resources available at BTWHSPVA. It is the perfect way to start the year strong, stay connected, and make sure our community has the tools and support it needs.

With shared purpose and gratitude,

Jennifer

WELCOME WEEK HIGHLIGHTS

Senior Welcome Week was packed with excitement from start to finish, giving the Class of 2027 a powerful launch into their Legacy in Motion. The week opened with “Last First Day/Let the Show Begin”, where a DJ, energy drinks, orange juice, and Krispy Kreme donuts created a lively and celebratory first morning. Midweek brought even more momentum with “Let’s Taco ’Bout It” breakfast burritos and “Bring the Energy, Leave the Legacy” featuring a full coffee and energy bar that kept seniors fueled and connected. Before heading into Thursday’s “Big Smiles, Big Dreams”, seniors gathered at Klyde Warren Park for Senior Sunrise, watching the sun rise on their senior year and sharing a quiet, meaningful moment together. The day continued with a mariachi band, orange juice, bagels, and cream cheese that filled the Green Room with music and joy. From t‑shirt pickup to the final group photo, every event reflected unity, pride, and the excitement of a year this class will never forget.

MEMBERSHIP | CLASS DUES

2026-27 PTSA MEMBERSHIPS & CLASS DUES

We encourage all new and returning BTW families to purchase PTSA memberships and pay class dues for the 2026–27 school year.

Class dues support each grade’s Senior Fund, helping create the celebrations and traditions students enjoy when they reach 12th grade. Contributing now sets the foundation for a strong senior year later.

Starting the year with your PTSA membership and class dues ensures smooth planning and gives our PTSA the resources to support all Rising Pegasi from day one.

Click the graphics below to purchase!

IMPORTANT | PARENTS, PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE:

If you purchase class dues, it includes a student membership!

If you purchase class dues and also purchase a separate student membership, the PTSA is required by Texas PTA Policy to reimburse the duplicate student membership.

To help our VP of Membership save time, please avoid purchasing a student membership in addition to class dues.

CLASS DONATIONS

Missed contributing to class dues in previous years, or have family members who want to join in? It’s never too late to support your class! Every contribution helps fund the senior year activities and celebrations that make this milestone unforgettable.

Click your class year below to give in any amount and help keep the tradition strong.

REFLECTIONS

Be sure to review the FAQs and guidelines to help your creative vision shine.

Questions? | Email Rhasheda Boyd, the PTSA Reflections Program Chair.

REFLECTIONS ENTRY FORM

SUSTAINING SPONSORS
2026-27 SUSTAINING SPONSORSORS URGENTLY NEEDED!

The BTW PTSA lifts up our students, teachers, and school community through productions, programs, resources, and events, and sustaining sponsors make that work possible. Sponsors also enjoy exciting perks such as Playbill ads, reserved parking and seating, and VIP opening night access.

This year’s All School Musical, Shrek the Musical, is our biggest production yet, and we urgently need sponsors to help bring its larger than life magic to the stage. If you want to support our scholar artists and fuel an unforgettable show, becoming a sustaining sponsor now is the most impactful way to help.

Please consider becoming a Sustaining Sponsor and/or let us know if you have any connections in helping us secure corporate sponsorships.

SPONSORSHIP NOTE | Levels run July 1–June 30. To be included in the ASM Playbill, sponsorships must be secured by August 23, with logos/names or Playbill assets submitted by August 24.
