MAY PTSA MEETING

The final PTSA meeting of the 2023-24 school year is Tuesday, May 14. All are invited - including our newest members who are rising BTW families - to join us at 6 p.m. in the Commons.

We'll share exciting announcements for the next school year and tips on how parents and students can prepare over the summer. If you didn't get your student's t-shirt at the family orientation, you can pick it up at the meeting. Read the Rising Family Newsletter to fill out the t-shirt order form. We hope to see you there!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
  • AP PROCTORS - Adult volunteers are needed to proctor AP testing from May 6-10, 13-17, 22-24. Please review the SignUpGenius for available slots. All volunteers are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their time slot begins.
  • TEACHER APPRECIATION - Volunteers are needed for teacher appreciation week! Sign up to help on either Monday, May 6 or Friday, May 10
  • CHAPERONES - The school needs a few chaperones for Prom on Saturday, May 11! This is an excellent opportunity for parents of younger students to volunteer so that you can see what a Booker T. Prom is like and feel more prepared when your student is a junior or senior! Please give our senior parents a break and sign up to help using this link.
  • BACCALAUREATE - The PTSA hosts the Baccalaureate ceremony on Friday, May 24 at First United Methodist Church. We need volunteers to check in students and work as door greeters, ushers, and reception hosts. Please give our senior parents a break so that they can attend the ceremony. This would be an excellent event for junior class parents to support and get a firsthand glance at how your student will be celebrated next year. All grade-level parents are welcome to volunteer. Please sign up here.
