We're excited to introduce a new series that shines a light on the individuals who make the Booker T. Washington HSPVA PTSA’s work possible. We will spotlight our long-time supporters—board members, funders, and volunteers—to learn about their journey with the PTSA and the impact they've helped create. You're sure to recognize some of your neighbors, peers, friends and even BTW alumni, each of whom are helping to shape a brighter future for our students and our beloved BTWHSPVA community. Join us as we celebrate these community champions! |

Kelly is a lifelong Dallas resident and currently resides in East Dallas, maintaining strong ties to the local community she calls home. Inspired by her mother’s unwavering commitment to the PTA—no matter how busy life got—Kelly developed a strong sense of service and a desire to give back in the same way for her daughter by serving as Secretary on the 2025–26 Executive Board of the Booker T. Washington HSPVA PTSA. Kelly brings heart and hustle to her role as PTSA Secretary and helps keep the board organized and energized working alongside fellow board members and school liaisons, keeping accurate records of meetings, helping guide the PTSA’s strategic direction, and supporting special committees as needed. |

Professionally, Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and co-owner of The Haven Wellness Center, a private practice she runs with her wife, dedicated to supporting mental health and wellness in the Dallas area. Kelly is also an active advocate for local causes, including Genesis Women’s Shelter, and she serves on the Board of Camp John Marc, helping create meaningful experiences for children with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Kelly enjoys spending quality time with her family, doting on her cats, and unwinding with puzzles. Her daughter, Josie, is a talented Junior in the Visual Arts Conservatory. Fun Fact: Kelly is a former marathon runner with three races under her belt—proof that she’s got endurance both on the track and in life! To reach out to Kelly, email btwhspvaptsa.secretary@gmail.com. |
For Kelly, her investment with the PTSA is an investment in local education which is vital to BTWHSPVA’s future growth and development. The PTSA is focused on making every child's potential a reality by strengthening education and taking a comprehensive approach to community success. It's time to tip our caps to Kelly, whose dedicated leadership has helped expand our programs, creating meaningful opportunities for the next generation of Booker T. graduates. Hats off to you, Kelly! To become a donor or for general questions, donate by clicking the link below or contact us at btwhspvaptsa@gmail.com. |
