| Signing Off for the Summer! As we reach the close of another incredible school year, it’s impossible not to reflect with gratitude and pride on everything this community has accomplished together. This year has been filled with growth, creativity, resilience, unforgettable performances, meaningful connections, and moments that reminded us just how special the BTWHSPVA family truly is. There is so much to celebrate and even more to be proud of. It has been a true privilege and honor to serve alongside such extraordinary volunteers whose generosity, talents, resources, and unwavering heart continue to uplift and strengthen this remarkable community. Your dedication creates opportunities, inspires students, and leaves a lasting impact far beyond what words can express. Thank you for your passion, your partnership, and your steadfast engagement throughout the year. As summer begins, my hope is that each of us takes time to rest, recharge, celebrate our accomplishments, and enjoy moments of joy with family and friends. May this break be filled with laughter, adventure, and restoration. And to our graduating Seniors — congratulations! We celebrate not only all you have achieved, but also the bright futures that await you. While your next chapter begins, you will always be part of the BTWHSPVA legacy. We cannot wait to see the amazing things you will do. To all of our rising Pegasi, enjoy your summer and we look forward to welcoming you back in the Fall for another inspiring year together! HONORING THE LEGACY OF PAUL BAKER |
BTWHSPVA was honored to welcome Robyn Baker Flatt, Founder of the Dallas Children’s Theater and daughter of legendary educator Paul Baker, for a special visit to campus as planning begins for the school’s upcoming 50th Anniversary Celebration. Robyn met with campus and district leadership to discuss ways to honor her father’s extraordinary legacy and the profound impact his vision continues to have on arts education in Dallas and beyond. Joining her were Leah Mora, BTWHSPVA PTSA President and Board President of the Dallas Children’s Theater, and Michael Jackson, DISD Executive Director of Magnet and Montessori Schools, along with Principal Garry Williams. Together, they explored opportunities to celebrate the school’s rich history, strengthen community partnerships, and ensure that Paul Baker’s innovative spirit remains at the heart of Booker T.’s next fifty years. This collaborative conversation marks an exciting step toward a meaningful and inspiring anniversary year. One that honors the past while looking boldly toward the future! |
