SUBJECT: Class of 2027 - February Newsletter

Hello!

I hope everyone had a restful and safe holiday season as well as remained safe and warm during the winter storm. We are in the home stretch of securing funding for what is to be a very fun, sentimental and monumental senior year.  We had an excellent turn out at the College Education session and this proved be a great fundraiser for the class of 2027.  This is my second to the last newsletter so I will be providing you with some updates.  I hope to have one final class meeting in April to level set where we are before transitioning the Chair position to the Senior Class chair in May, 2027.

See's Candies Fundraiser

Much appreciation to Becky Wade for leading the efforts with this fundraiser which yielded $696.95!!

THANK YOU, Becky and everyone who made the holidays brighter with purchasing from our online store!

How to Pay for College Fundraiser

This was a very informative and lucrative fundraiser for our class.  We were able to secure $2,470 while also helping many families become more familiar with the college application process.

Double Good Popcorn Store

Maggie Lopez has been hard at work to set up this fundraiser which has been known to raise $10,000 for some schools.  She will provide details at the PTSA meeting on Tuesday.

Basics for now: 50% of all sales are ours and popcorn ships directly to buyers with prices starting at $11.

We will run this from February 10 - February 14.

Here is our opportunity for friends and family from near and far to support the artists of today and tomorrow.  We have a rare opportunity to kill it and hit this hard on our socials!!!

This is likely to be a sentimental fundraiser for many of us as it is giving elementary school fundraising energy and will be the last major fundraiser for our class so.... HIT IT HARD!

Class Funds

Our current class fund total as of January 19, 2026 is:

$30,034.25!!!

In order to cover our current budget, we need to secure $34,925 and my goal was to have $40,000 available to hand over to the Senior Class Committee.  I do believe we may be in reach of the $40,000+ goal if we have a big drive with the senior class dues AND the popcorn fundraiser + any funds raised from the traditional senior auction.  We may be poised to have a record-breaking class fund at BTW!

If we are able to secure 100 class dues (less that 50% of the senior class), with the $85 that comes to our funds, we would secure another $8,500.  Please be sure to pay your dues, feel free to donate dues for other students, or simply donate to our class fund.

We are still waiting to add the Kendra Scott fundraising amounts to our total.

As a reminder, for those of you who have been so kind and generous as to provide Matching Funds, please ensure that your funds will reach our class budget during this and next school year.  Some matching funds come very late depending on your matching program rules and company fiscal years.  I want to ensure your generosity is appropriately designated and that you have awareness of when to update recipient designation.

30/30/30 or 90 CAMPAIGN

In an effort to secure the augmented Class Dues for Senior year and lessen the financial burden of senior year, as well as to be able to hit the ground running this summer in preparation for Senior year, our:

30/30/30 and 90 Campaign is officially open!!!

PLEASE PAY YOUR DUES HERE

Starting today, you can log into membership toolkit and pay the $90 Senior Class Dues as a one-time payment OR in 3 monthly installments from February - April.  The hope is twofold:

1) Lessen the financial impact families face every August with all of the graduation costs: guild dues, yearbook, cap and gown, college application fees, audition costs, etc..

2) Providing the senior year class dues early allows the committee to fine tune the budget prior to the major planning that takes place during the summer.  Please recall that there will be an early Senior Suprise for the Class of 2027 in May the last week of school to initiate the excitement for next year and one at Pegasus Pickup.  We also want to ensure that we get the first week of school activities set.

In our last class meeting for the year, I hope to finalize the budget for Senior year such that the new class chair and the committee are able to ensure all fees will be accounted for and ensure a great calendar of senior surprise events.
