SUBJECT: BTWHSPVA Class of 2027 I Newsletter

In the Spirit of Gratitude

Greetings Class of 2027!

In this month of Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful for given the showing we had at the Sounds and Voices Festival which was a resounding success!  This village came together and set a bar for generations to come.

Our offerings were a tremendous success as was the auction.

The auction raised $3,490!

The total intake for the night was $4,585.00

Our class balance is currently $27,369.25!!!

Remainder left to achieve our balance goal of $34,925.00 is: $7,555.75.

I believe that if we make a final push we could possible reach the original $40,000 goal by senior year.

We are well on our way to achieving our goal!!!

I am truly honored to serve such a fantastic group of people who have come together to serve our scholar artists!

With gratitude,

Adam

Thank you to our Donors!

We are so grateful to Lowry Manders for their direct donation gift to the class fund.

Please remember that we are eligible for matching donations from employers and will always welcome any direct donations to our Class of 2027 fund which is tax deductible.

UP COMING EVENTS

SEE'S CANDIES

Please keep an eye out for our See's Candies fundraiser starting next week -information will be forthcoming in next week's PTSA newsletter.  This is a great way to help support our class and check off many people on your Holiday Gift Lists.  Much gratitude to Becky Wade for leading the efforts on this fundraiser!

The See's Candies fundraiser will run from November 10, 2025, to December 5, 2025.

KENDRA SCOTT

Our Kendra Scott event (last year's most successful fundraiser) will take place at the Northpark Center location on the evening of December 5, 2025.  Thank you to Maggie Lopez for once again coordinating this event.  Please be sure to stop by and check off more items off of your Holiday Lists.

Kendra Scott - December 5, 2025.

"How to Pay for College Without Going Broke"

CALLING ALL PARENTS!!!!  This is both an educational form and fundraiser.  Doug Bryan with Insight College & Financial Solutions will provide an 80-minute workshop for rock-solid information (not a sales pitch) about what is to be a very informative session for many of our families as we begin the preparation for college.

How is this a fundraiser:

    • Doug will donate $25 per parent attending (or $50/couple) up to 40 parents. That's $1,000.

    • OR

    • At the end when he offers to meet with families, the cost to them will be $95. However, that amount is a donation paid directly to our class fund

    • We will receive whichever amount is larger.

      • Examples:

        • 40 parents attend and no one schedules...I write a check for $1,000

        • 20 parents attend and 20 appointments are scheduled...you earn $1,900

        • Or 50 parents attend, 7 schedule ($665). I write a check for $335.

  • As long as you have at least 40 parents attend, $1,000 is the worst case scenario.

  • Groups routinely raise $1,200 to $2,000 and I'm invited back annually.

This is easy money with an educational base. We will have a registration the closer we approach the date, and this event is OPEN TO EVERYONE so NOT just the class of 2027.  Bottom line - PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND!

How to pay for college workshop - Evening of January 14, 2026, in the Commons.

IDEAS FOR FUNDRAISING?

There may still be time to have a Class of 2027 T-shirt for sale which is different from the Senior shirt that will be given to Seniors next year.

We would need to advertise for a student contest to select the drawing and then coordinate ordering and distribution.

We did not get enough pictures for a calendar so that is off the table.

We may still be able to do a karaoke contest afterschool and before one of the PTSA meetings.

Please contact me for any fundraising opportunities or ideas.
