GREETINGS!

Hello Class of 2027!

Only 12 Days to Go!  Our biggest fundraiser of the year is just around the corner—and we need your help to make it a success!

We’re still looking for judges and prize donations (details below), and every contribution—big or small—makes a difference. Whether it’s your time, resources, or connections, we’re counting on our amazing community to step up and help us cross the finish line.

Let’s make this event unforgettable—together!

With an immense amount of gratitude,

Adam

As a reminder, all monetary donations are tax-deductible and may qualify for employee matching programs through your workplace.

SOUNDS AND VOICES FALL FESTIVAL

We’re excited to share that we’ve secured two food trucks, which will be conveniently stationed in the semicircle drop-off on Routh Street—strategically placed to avoid the opening night traffic for Carmen at the Winspear Opera House.

To help us plan accordingly, we kindly ask that you RSVP in advance.

Please be advised that the J LOT will be open for additional parking though may require proof of RSVP.  It is advisable that you register now.

Throughout the festival, there will be a variety of events and activities showcasing our talented scholar artists. We’ll do our best to keep our Class located in the Commons for easy access and visibility.

The more items we offer, the more funds we can raise!

With our current lineup, each item would need to bring in an average bid of $120 just to hit our $2,500 goal—and that’s before credit card fees are deducted. Realistically, not every item will reach that amount, so increasing the number of offerings is essential.

One easy and creative way to boost our auction is through gift baskets—they’re popular, versatile, and fun to assemble. You can also reach out to local businesses to donate a product, service, or experience. Every additional item helps us get closer to our goal and makes the event more exciting for bidders!

Let’s rally together and make this a success!

Volunteer Opportunity | Sounds and Voices

Don’t forget to sign up for Sounds and Voices volunteer spots!

With the recent revamp of the Hispanic Heritage and African American Heritage productions, volunteer hours have been reduced to just one evening—so it’s more important than ever to lock in your spot. Other classes are eager to participate as well, so act quickly to secure your hours.

Remember | These hours count toward the 20-hour requirement for Summer Scholarship eligibility.

Important Reminder | Be sure to sign in and out at the volunteer kiosk located at the information desk in the commons to ensure your hours are recorded.

Let’s make it count!

UPCOMING FUNDRAISING EVENTS

See’s Candies Fundraiser | Launching mid-November, this is the perfect opportunity to grab holiday tokens of appreciation for co-workers, family, friends—and yes, even yourself! Sweet treats with a sweet purpose.

Kendra Scott Shopping Night | Back by popular demand! After a successful fundraiser last February, we’re thrilled to have secured another date just in time for the holidays. Join us at the NorthPark Mall location on the evening of Friday, December 5, 2025, and knock out your holiday shopping while supporting a great cause.

COMING IN 2026:

Educational Workshop | “How to Pay for College Without Going Broke”  Time and date are still pending, but this event is officially approved by Texas PTA. Attendance directly impacts our class balance:

  • 40 parents attend, no follow-ups → $1,000 donation
  • 20 parents attend, 20 schedule appointments → $1,900 donation
  • 50 parents attend, 7 schedule appointments → $665 donation + $335 check = $1,000 total

As long as we reach 40 attendees, we’re guaranteed at least $1,000—so let’s pack the room!

Popcorn Fundraiser | Details coming soon—stay tuned!

Spirit Nights | We’re finalizing the next location, date, and time. Keep an eye out for updates!
